RIPLEY — A bank made its debut in the Ripley community as First Neighborhood Bank opened a branch on South Church Street this week.

The bank, established 110 years ago in the Mid-Ohio Valley, originated in Spencer and through the years, it grew with Ripley the site for its fourth branch.

“Their goal was to establish a community bank that could offer the same services as large banking conglomerates, but, on a more personal scale,” the First Neighborhood website said. “Today, our (four) offices still maintain the same mission of bringing superior service to our customers.”

Because it is a local bank, all decisions are made by people who live and work in the community.

“This week’s opening of a fourth location is another reminded of the bank’s continued promise to support and invest in the communities we serve,” David Righter, First National Bank president said.

Ripley locals with a wide variety of experience will provide despots and lending services. FNB also provides FirstTouch Online Banking, home and commercial loans.

This year, the FNB website was update which features “a fresh, clean design that is more user-friendly and intuitive than ever,” according to a press release from FNB. The new site also offers an improved mobile experienced through a smartphone or tablet.

The lobby at the Ripley branch is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and the drive-through is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“We are excited to be involved in the Jackson County community as we have been in our other communities,” Nikki Romeo, branch manager for the Ripley office said.
