Crashes on the M6 and M56 in Cheshire are causing huge delays.
According to traffic management system Inrix, all traffic is being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M6 Southbound at J20, M56 J9 ( Lymm Interchange).
On the M56 eastbound, two lanes are closed, queuing traffic and delays at J10 A49 Tarporley Road (Stretton).
Travel time is around 40 minutes on this motorway.
Highways England said: “The #M6 southbound at #J20 / Lymm Services (#LymmInterchange #A50 #LymmPoplar2000Services) traffic has been temporarily STOPPED due to a collision. Traffic Officers & @CheshireRCU @cheshirepolice @NWmwaypolice are at scene.
“Recovery are on their way to the area to assist.
The #M56 eastbound #J10 (#Warrington #Northwich #A49) to #J9 (#LymmInterchange #M6) 2 lanes have been closed due to a collision. Traffic Officers are currently at scene, Recovery are on their way to the area to assist.”
